SAW 2 - Trailer Overview

The Saw II trailer could be compared in a visual way to any other horror or thriller trailer. The first impression we get when we glimpse into the SAW trailer is that the atmosphere of the scenes is often very dark, gloomy and overwhelming. The main theme of each shot in this trailer usually has a blue, green or yellow enhancement of colour, these two colours contrast perfectly with the genre of a thriller movie. The majority of thriller and horror movies used enhanced amounts of green, blue or yellow with sometimes slightly lower colour saturation to create a dark and scary atmosphere, this will often be combined with very low brightness which creates a perfect dark, daunting and intimidating thriller atmosphere. This trailer has been created to persuade us to fear these characters who are imprisoned in the trailer; this is evident from the variations of different camera angles used in the making.
